The Placement activity at SSN SoMCA
is vibrant and proactive with a mission to secure a
"meaningful" slot in highly rated companies for every
student of the MBA and MCA programs. The Campus
placement effort includes special modules on soft skills
development for the students, project work during the
vacation, and a 4-month full time project with Industry
in the final semester of the Program. The intensive
placement preparation and evaluation camps are regular
activities in the campus.
The students are actively encouraged to participate in
the contests and symposia held in various educational
institutions to sharpen their competitive skills.
Students of SoMCA are proud winners of many prizes in
such events.
Internal seminars are a regular feature in SSN SoMCA.
These help the students in synthesizing information from
a variety of sources and mastering presentation skills.
MBA students keep themselves up-to-date with
developments in the economic environment through regular
review of Business papers and related quizzes. Madras
Management Association has an active Students Chapter in
the campus. MBA students are encouraged to attend the
various events and expert lectures organized by MMA.
MCA students are offered intensive training in key skill
sets sought by industry from time to time. This is in
the form of additional training in emerging technologies
which are not adequately covered in the syllabus.
The Institution also has an active Rotaract Club to give
an opportunity to students to develop leadership skills,
team work and get an exposure to social realities.
